The short version: whatever you put into the app stays with you. There is no account and no ads, and your location stays on your phone.
No account
We don't ask you to sign up, or for your email or name. Open it and use it.
Stays on your phone
Favourites, stalls, prices and your shopping list are stored only on your device.
Your location stays put
The distance to each market is worked out on your phone. We don't send it anywhere.
No ads
No ads, no advertising identifiers, no user profiles.
What the app keeps on your phone
These stay on your device only and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Favourite markets | So you find them fast and get reminders |
| Stalls and prices you note | So you remember where you shop and how prices move |
| Shopping list | So it isn't lost when you close the app |
| When you want the reminder | So it arrives at a time that suits you |
| Theme (light/dark) and language | So it opens the way you left it |
| Whether you've seen the tour | So it isn't shown again |
| A copy of the market schedule | So it opens fast and works offline |
What leaves your phone, and where to
As with any internet connection, whoever receives the request sees your IP address.
| Where | What it receives |
|---|---|
| Market schedule (Supabase, Frankfurt) | Only the request for the public schedule. Nothing about you, no location. |
| Address search (Apple or Google) | If you type an address, the text you typed goes to your phone's map service (Apple on iPhone, Google on Android) to find the spot. We don't keep it. |
| Map (Apple Maps or CARTO) | The tiles for the area you're looking at. From Apple on iPhone, from CARTO with OpenStreetMap data on Android. |
| Anonymous usage counts (PostHog, EU) | Which button was tapped, e.g. which view you opened or whether you turned on a reminder. See below. |
Location and notifications
Location permission is optional. If you grant it, your coordinates are used only on your phone to put the nearest markets first. Without it, you pick an area or type an address.
Reminders are scheduled locally by your phone. No server knows which markets you follow. You can turn off both permissions in your phone's settings.
Anonymous usage counts
To know what's worth building, the app sends PostHog (servers in the EU) which buttons are tapped and which market was opened. We don't send your location, an advertising identifier or any text you type. From the shopping list only the number of items goes, from prices nothing. No user profile is created and we never link you to the data.
On the website we count visits and clicks with Google Analytics and PostHog, set up without cookies and with IP anonymisation, which is why there's no consent banner. Only on iPhone outside Safari, if you close the «Get» bar, your browser remembers that for 14 days.
Your rights
Since we don't keep personal data, there is no record of yours to request or delete. Whatever exists is on your phone and goes when you uninstall. The app is suitable for all ages. If anything material changes, you'll see it here with a new date.
